Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, Imelda and has been living in Oregon for twenty-eight years. She joined the Linguava team a few years ago as an onsite interpreter. She decided to become an interpreter after losing a family member to cancer. She had noticed the lack of clear understanding between many doctors and their patients and realized the significant need for interpreters in the healthcare community. Imelda decided to use her skills to help make a difference for the better. Prior to joining Linguava, she worked in the medical field as a Medication AID and Nursing Assistant. She loves spending time with her three kids and husband, who likes to create delicious Mexican cuisine.
